Q: Why you should purchase Siew Allen's DVD and manual?
A: Since 1972, Siew Allen has been a highly qualified nurse, a midwife and midwife tutor formerly with the NHS. She left to set up her own clinic, where she has treated thousands of patients with acupuncture and massage to prevent muscle and joint problems associated with arthritis and injuries. Now in the fourteenth year of running Jesson Clinic, Siew has used the iPamper massage system to help many clients improve the quality of their lives. Siew developed the concept of health through massage, inspired by her early life in Malaysia, where massage is widely accepted as a health treatment for aches, pains and arthritis. Beyond Asia, massage can be used as an alternative to using painkillers for muscle and joint problems, without all the side effects. Due to popular demand by customers, Siew has produced a DVD and manual of how to use the iPamper more effectively, to help people get instant results. This gives them the freedom to treat themselves, whenever and wherever they need to remove aches and pain, thus maintaining their flexibility.

Q: What is the best time to use to massage myself and partner?
A:Massaging your muscles ideally could be a daily routine of a few minutes before you get out of bed and before you retire to bed. Longer sessions can be carried out after work or during rest periods.
Q: Are there different depths of massage?
A: There are high and low settings, so you can get varying speeds to adjust to your comfort and requirements for a relaxing and a therapeutic massage.
Q: Is the iPamper easy to manage if I am old and not that flexible?
The uPampie is a lightweight version of the iPamper which might suit you better – it has a looped handle, which is easier to hold.
Q: What is the hot air function for?
A: The warm air flow is soothing, helps to increase the blood circulation and promotes healing.
Q: Can the iPamper and uPampie be used for remedial massage by therapists as well as beginners?
A: Yes, they are both suitable for remedial massage without the use of oils .Siew Allen has used both massagers in her own acupuncture massage clinic for the past 4 years with fantastic results every time. Acupressure and trigger point release massage techniques can be carried out using the massagers because the unique massage head and powerful balanced weight action takes the hard work out of massage for therapists. It enables them to work for longer and give great results very quickly.
Q: How long can I massage a sore area by myself?
A: A few minutes massage on achy or tired muscles can quickly relieve the problem. As long as you avoid massaging for more than 5 minutes on one spot of the body. You can massage the whole body for about 15-20 minutes per session and usually once a day. You will soon get to know which part of your body needs more massage, in order to get relief.
Q: Is the iPamper massage more relaxing, strenuous or painful?
A: It is a very relaxing massage, but it may be little ticklish for some people especially if they have very tensed muscles to start with. This ticklishness will subside after a few gentle strokes with the iPamper‘s smooth massage head. MOST people tended to laugh as it is ticklish and fun too.
Q: Do I massage before and after sports events?
A: Yes, a regular massage before the event or exercise is very beneficial, as relaxed and flexible muscles can stretched better and become tired less easily. Injuries are less likely to occur if your muscles are working well and flexibly.
Q: How many times can I massage per day?
A: It does depend on your routine. Just make sure it is ready at hand in the bedroom or in the car so that you can massage immediately after an event or exercise away from home. For a daily routine to keep flexible, once or twice a day for 10 to 15 session. A daily 5 minutes massage on areas which are stiff and achy, can be helpful too, if you are really rushed off your feet. Why suffer, when you can remove pain in an instant?
Q: How can self massage help me after a sports event?
A: Massage can help you prevent getting cramps and soreness during your drive home. It can help you save time travelling home and prevents pain setting in as you arrive home. If your muscles are very stiff and tired, massage soon after the event, for about 5 minutes. This may help to relieve your aches and pains instantly and stops further stiffness,
Q: Can I use it on areas that are painful?
A: Providing the pain is tolerable and the skin is not damaged, then it is beneficial to do so. A few massage strokes can quickly remove the stiffness for you. If you find it too painful to massage the painful area, gently massage the area around the painful spot. Then, massage towards the painful area to see if it is better.
Q: How quickly does it work?
A: From my clinic experience, when I massage following the instructions in the DVD and Manual, very often the pain goes away after a few seconds of massage.
Q: How do I know it is working?
A: If you are massaging the pain away, you are doing it right, as massage increases blood flow and remove the lactic acid, which often is the main cause of the pain.
Q: Do I have to remove clothing to use the machine properly?
A: No, you do not have to undress to use the iPamper massager effectively. The depth of the massage is sufficient to penetrate through jackets and clothes in order to give relief. Try it for yourself to see or ask for a demonstration at info@healththroughmassage.com
Q: Can I use the product on bare skin?
A: Yes you can without using any oils or powder. If you are sweaty, use a towel to dry the skin or massage over a towel first until skin is dry.
Q: Can I take it on holiday?
A: The iPamper can be taken on holiday in the baggage hold for use in your apartment. Holiday is a good time to do massage for each other, in order to relax and treat tired muscles caused by overworking.
Q: If I have a heart condition, are the products suitable?
A: Please see the contra-indications page for advice in Siew Allen’s DVD and Manual or consult your doctor first.
Q: Is it safe to massage after having a baby?
A: Please see Siew Allen’s DVD and Manual of instructions. Massage can help you get back into shape and to prevent backache. Do carry out self massage early in the morning if possible, before you get out of bed, so you can be flexible and ready for the days work.
Q: Are the products suitable for usage by children?
A:I advise that the minimum age of the child should be twelve years. This is because the massager uses quite a strong force to which younger children might be very sensitive. Please refer to Siew Allen’s DVD and Manual of instructions.
